New Residential Lock Sets from DORMA Architectural Hardware Provide Functional Safety Solutions
DORMA’s new Grade 2 J200 Interconnected Locksets for exterior doors and C400 Tubular Locksets for interior doors provide security, safety and convenience for single and multi-family residences, as well as light to medium duty commercial applications. Together they offer a lock package that combines reliable performance and complementary aesthetics.
DORMA’s J200 Interconnected Locksets, intended for exterior use, are built with a cylindrical chassis and tubular dead bolt for all applications, where ANSI A156.12 Grade 2 products are required. The J200 meets A117.1 and ADA requirements for barrier-free accessibility. In addition, the J200 Locksets are three-hour fire rated and are U.L. and C.U.L. listed.
The J200 Locksets contain a free-spinning solid steel spin ring that provides superior protection of the upper cylinder against attack by wrenching and prying. The interior lever of the J200 retracts both the dead bolt and latch bolt in one motion allowing immediate exit from the building. The locks are available with two new residential lever designs, which adds to DORMA’s three traditional designs.
A variety of configurations are available including a simple pull, single cylinder entry, and entry double cylinder entry. Additionally, eight strike combinations and four dead bolt combinations allow specifiers to choose a product unique to their application.
The J200 Series lock sets are available in DORMA’s SKC keying system, which provides easy system management.
DORMA C400 Grade 2 Tubular Locksets are a perfect compliment to the J200 Locksets. These interior locksets satisfy applications where ANSI Standard A156.2 Series 4000 Grade 2 products are required. In addition the C400 meets A117.1 and ADA requirements for barrier-free accessibility. DORMA C400 tubular locksets are easy to install in both wood or hollow metal doors with ANSI Standard A115 preparations for bored-in locks. The versatile locks come in a variety of trims including five distinct lever designs. The non-handed tubular lock chassis are constructed of steel and pressure cast zinc components. The C400 Tubular Locksets are available in a number of configurations including a dummy set, a passage set, and a “privacy” option incorporating emergency release and an inside turn button.
Both the J200 and C400 Locksets are easy to install in both wood or hollow metal doors with ANSI Standard A156.115-2006 door preparations for interconnected locks and bored-in locks respectively. They are easily adjustable to accommodate door thicknesses from 1-3/8″ to 1-7/8″. Available finishes for both locksets include: Bright Brass (605), Oil Rubbed Bronze (613), Satin Nickel (619), and Satin Chrome (626).
The C400 and J200 Series locksets are part of a comprehensive lock line from DORMA Architectural Hardware that includes dead bolts, mortise locks, bored-in locks, interconnected locks and the SKC keying management system.
