Structural Glass article forthcoming
We just put the finishing touches on a structural glass article for the September 2009 edition of The Construction Specifier. Authored by DORMA Glas’s Scott Welch and Alfonso Lopez, P.E. from Sentech Architectural Systems, the article will act as a primer for architects and designers considering a structural glass system. We’ll provide a link to the article once it has been published.
MOVEO featured in BD+C
An article in Building Design + Construction magazine’s June issue featured an exceptional use of the MOVEO Moveable Wall System from DORMA’s Modernfold division. The application at BeachBody, a health and fitness company in Santa Monica, Calif., delivers open-plan space that would be flooded with natural daylight. Using MOVEO, designers at Wolcott Architecture|Interiors of Culver City, Calif., created flexible conference spaces that offered privacy without blocking light from filtering into the office.
More from Agion on antimicrobial treatments
Agion Technologies has issued a news release about its recent partnership with DORMA. Agion antimicrobial protection will be added as a coating option to DORMA’s existing family of exit devices, grade one locks and deadbolts to inhibit odor-causing microbial growth on the high touch surfaces allowing the hardware to meet the strict specifications for projects in which ultra-clean tactile surfaces are desired or necessary.
