Cool new MAGNEO installation for NHL’s Canucks
With a smooth, gliding action reminiscent of sharpened skates on freshly finished ice, the new MAGNEO Sliding Door System at the Vancouver Canucks’ new dressing room at GM Place provide a dramatic, modern and functional entrance for players. In this application, two MAGNEO unit are installed side by side for a bi-part application.
Watch a video of the door operating.
Powered by advanced linear magnetic drive technology (LMD), the MAGNEO sliding door system from DORMA Entrance Systems opens and closes doors with an even gliding action that’s virtually free of sound and friction. To complement the smooth movement, the MAGNEO system’s clean lines and unobtrusive, low-profile header blend seamlessly into the sleek interior design.
MAGNEO is the only sliding door entrance system to utilize LMD technology instead of belts, pulleys, gears or motors. The unparalleled MAGNEO system enables a sliding door to open and close on an electromagnetic “cushion,” reducing wear, noise and maintenance.

New DORMA C500 Series Grade 2 Locksets offer performance, affordability
REAMSTOWN, Pa. (September 23, 2009) – Combining outstanding performance, affordability and more, DORMA Architectural Hardware’s new C500 Series Locksets feature a high-performance cylindrical chassis for applications requiring ANSI A156.2 Series 4000 Grade 2 products.
The key-in-lever locksets offer two ADA-compliant lever designs (radiused and angular), four standard finishes and two optional finishes to meet a wide range of aesthetic demands and applications, including hotels, apartments, churches, municipal buildings, retail complexes, offices and warehouses. They are available in 10 different lock functions to accommodate an assortment of privacy, security and access needs.
Constructed of steel, stainless steel, and precision castings for superior strength, durability, and corrosion resistance, C500 Series Locksets include special auxiliary support springs to insure smooth operation and long life. The locksets have an optional through-bolted chassis for additional strength and increased resistance to vibration.
DORMA C500 Series lockets are easy to install in wood and hollow metal doors with ANSI A115 preparations for cylindrical locks. They are readily adjustable for doors from 1-3/8″ to 1-13/16″ thick.
The locksets are available with DORMA’s patented serialized key control (SKC) system, a concept that creates key control through a national network of authorized key makers using a web-based tracking system. The innovative SKC program uses keys that are laser engraved with unique serial numbers, allowing DORMA-approved hardware distributors and locksmiths to stock key blanks and use them in support of factory keyed projects
The DORMA C500 Series products are U.L. and C.U.L listed and three-hour fire rated. They carry a one-year comprehensive mechanical warranty.
